Park Description

Archie Knowles Campground is a serene retreat located approximately 50 miles west of Eugene, Oregon, along Highway 126, near the town of Mapleton. Nestled among towering Douglas fir and spruce trees, the campground is situated alongside Knowles Creek, a gentle tributary of the Siuslaw River, providing a tranquil setting for campers.

Park Information 

  • Day use and campground open seasonally - April 11 - Oct. 13, 2025
  •  The Day-use area is open dawn to dusk.
  • Day Pass or Annual Pass required.
  • Pay via credit card with onsite fee machine or download the Passport Parking App (code 97114) to pay from your smartphone.

Camping 

The campground contains 9 developed campsites without hookups and a campground caretaker. Well water is available at the site as well as a flush toilet restroom.
