The Lane County Building Program provides the review of construction plans, the issuances of building and electrical permits, and the inspection of residential and commercial construction to ensure compliance with code for structural integrity and public safety.

Lane County will be customizing our electronic application services on an ongoing basis to offer a better experience for the user. While under development, not all Land Management’s application processes will be available for digital submission. Permit History of a Property

The Land Management Division’s Property Records Online application (LMD-PRO) is a portal for accessing official county property related documents such as building, sanitation and land use permits as well as other property related records and historic information dating back to the 1970s.

March 26th, 2025:

Changes to the IVR Scheduling System


On April 28th, the State will no longer be providing the IVR scheduling system.

Lane County will continue to provide this service for our jurisdiction.

There should be no interruption of services when the State IVR scheduling system shuts down.

If you are experiencing any trouble scheduling an inspection during the next week please try to schedule inspections online or call our office at (541) 682-4065.

It is recommended that you schedule inspections as early as possible to avoid delays.

May 1st, 2024:

On April 2nd, the Board of County Commissioners adopted the new erosion prevention code for the County MS4 Area. The new requirements will take effect on May 1, 2024. Please see the Erosion Prevention webpage for more information!
