Christopher Parosa is Lane County's elected District Attorney. His office is responsible for the prosecution of all crimes in
Lane County Circuit Court.
The Criminal Division has 24 trial lawyers responsible for evaluating 5,000-6,000 new cases every year for appropriate charging. These cases include all state felony cases that occur in Lane County and thousands of misdemeanors.
In addition to the Criminal Division, the District Attorney oversees Victim Services Division, Family Law Division (child support enforcement), Juvenile Prosecution Division, and Death Investigations.
