The Lane County Older Adult Behavioral Health Initiative partnered with the BHASC to create the Older & Disabled Adult Workgroup which is a stakeholder group. The goals of this workgroup is to:
- Provide a forum for discussion and goal setting by organizational leaders with a focus on improving the quality of life for vulnerable older adults and adults with disabilities.
- Present education and information regarding local and regional resources, programs, and supports.
- Develop connections between historically distant organizations, understand structural barriers preventing the integration of Behavioral Health services with medical and long term care, and explore strategies to minimize obstacles to care via communication and coordination.
