Emergency Operations Plan
The Lane County Emergency Operations Plan (EOP) is an all-hazard plan describing how Lane County will organize and respond to events. It establishes guidance for the County's actions during response and short-term recovery from major emergencies or disasters. Specifically, the EOP describes the roles and responsibilities of the County departments and external partners when an incident occurs. The County views emergency management planning as a continuous process that is linked closely with training and exercises to establish a comprehensive preparedness agenda and culture.

Multi-Jurisdictional Natural Hazard Mitigation Plan
Natural hazard mitigation is defined as permanently reducing or alleviating the losses of life, property and injuries resulting from natural hazards through long- and short-term strategies. Lane County has developed a multi-jurisdictional Natural Hazards Mitigation Plan (MJNHMP) alongside community partners in an effort to reduce future loss of life and damage to property. It is impossible to predict exactly when these disasters will occur, or the extent to which they will affect the County. However, with careful planning and collaboration among public agencies, private sector organizations and the citizens within the communities throughout Lane County.
Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP)
A CWPP is a plan that communities create collaboratively with local and state fire protection and land management agencies. Its intent is to reduce the risk of wildfires, enhance local ecosystem health, protect vital infrastructure, and increase the safety of residents and first responders in the event of a wildfire. The goal of a CWPP is to define and identify a community’s priorities for the protection of life, property, shared assets, and infrastructure in the event of a wildfire. The CWPP planning process creates a valuable opportunity for communities to influence where and how to implement fuel reduction and other wildfire prevention and mitigation strategies.
